Vanity Lash Lounge now offers dermaplaning, a procedure in which an aesthetician carefully scrapes the face with a super-sharp blade of surgical quality, providing hair removal while at the same time exfoliating! This is the latest method that women are turning to for smooth, perfectly exfoliated skin. It is different than shaving, as the blade used is extremely sharp, like a medical instrument, rather than a crude, rough razor blade. We also offer a dermaplaning facial that combines dermaplaning with a facial, resulting in exfoliation and hair removal, giving you soft, smooth skin with a beautiful glow!
Reverse Years Of Sun Damage With Advanced Micro-Needling
Another new treatment innovation in aesthetic medicine used to correct fine lines, acne scars and improve the skin’s texture, tone and colour is automated Micro-Needling, also known as Collagen Induction Therapy. At Vanity Lash Lounge we use the Eclipse MicroPen™. During this procedure, tiny needles are used to create controlled micro-injuries to the skin in order to produce collagen and elastin. The skin’s repair process results in a thicker dermis with softer wrinkles. Eclipse MicroPen™ also creates micro channels which allow topical gels, creams and serums to be absorbed more effectively, enhancing their effects in deeper layers of the skin. We also offer the PRP (platelet-rich plasma) microneedling, a highly concentrated autologous serum that is rich in growth factors and cytokines such as platelet-derived growth factor, transforming growth factor, insulin-like growth factor, and vascular endothelial growth factor. These growth factors regulate and induce cell migration, attachment, proliferation, and differentiation as well as promote extracellular matrix accumulation. We take a sample of your own blood, spin out the plasma and smooth it on after your microneedling procedure.
What is the downtime? Immediately after the treatment you will notice a bright redness to the skin. The total healing time depends on the depth of needles used and the number of overlapping passes performed. On average, expect some reddness for 2-4 days. For many people healing is achieved in 24 hours.
When will I see the results?
You will notice an immediate “glow” to your skin. Visible changes to the skin develop over the course of several weeks. Results continue to improve up to 6 months after the treatment, as collagen production continues.
How many treatments will I need? Some people require a single treatment, once per year, to achieve optimal results. However, it is recommended for most patients to receive a series of 2-3 treatments spaced at about 6-8 weeks apart. For people with deep wrinkles, advanced photo-aging, stretch marks or acne scars, it is recommended to receive 6-8 sessions at 6 week intervals.
What are the benefits?

Eclipse MicroPen™ also has a positive effect on hyper-pigmentation as well as on hypo-pigmentation, acne scars, traumatic scars and stretch marks.
How is the procedure done? A sterile needle-tip containing 12 tiny micro-needles is attached to the Eclipse MicroPen™. A thin layer of topical gel is applied to your skin and the appropriate treatment depth is selected based on your unique needs and the area being treated. Next, in a single motion, the pen will be gently pressed against the skin while simultaneously gliding in one direction until the entire treatment area has been covered.
Botox®, Xeomin® and Fillers
Vanity Lash Lounge uses Botox® Cosmetic as well as Xeomin®, which are considered neuromodulators that create paralysis which in turn relaxes muscle lines and smoothes wrinkles. They share the identical active ingredient – botulinum toxin A. The difference is that Botox® has an accompanying protein, but Xeomin® is naked or pure and is the next generation toxin. It is thought that the protein in Botox® can trigger antibodies and eventually the client can develop an immunity to Botox®, causing it to be less effective. Xeomin® has proven effective in clinical trials and is approved in Europe and the US to diminish glabellar (between the eyebrow) wrinkles.
Fillers to Enhance Your Beauty
We offer different types of fillers that can restore lost volume or give additional volume where desired. The fillers we use are Radiesse, Belotero and Juvederm. Our nurse injector will assist you in choosing the correct filler for the area you wish to enhance, as different fillers are better for different parts of the face.
